The Humminbird XPLORE is making waves and gaining attention by proving itself to be one of the easiest to use fish finders now available.

Fish finder technology has really blown up in the last few years. Between mapping and sonar, and all the different things you can do with one of these devices, it’s almost like you need a graduate degree in fish finders just to use one. Well, what Humminbird did with the XPLORE was design it with the specific goal to be intuitive and to the point.

First of all, the XPLORE features both a touchscreen and a keypad. So, if you’re not comfortable with the touchscreen, or your hands are wet, or it’s raining outside, you can use the keypad to control it. But honestly, the touchscreen makes this thing so user-friendly. All the features are available in one or two menu levels. You don’t have to go digging through menus and switching screens to find the menu items you’re looking for.

Another cool thing about this is that, instead of having to upload maps and put in chips, the XPLORE comes with coastal and inland waterway maps already preloaded. The fish finder comes in 9, 10, and 12-inch screens, which are the most common screen sizes. There are various color and control options for both the mapping and the fish finder.

It’ll do side scan, down scan, forward-facing, and traditional sonar. You get different transducers depending on what kind of sonar you want to use with it.
