The folks at Kokatat are always striving to make paddling and fishing safer and more comfortable; this year they introduced new PFD’s and dry suits that take this commitment to the next level. The new Leviathan PFD is a marvel of engineering. Somehow they packed 14 pockets that don’t interfere with paddling or fishing. My favorite is the hand warmer pockets. The jacket also has removable fly pads and D-rings and tabs in the back for a hydration bladder or net tether. They gave the Leviathan their most comfortable, form-fitting shoulder straps and carved, soft foam for all-day wearability. Best of all, the Leviathan comes in three colors including a pretty blue that should be popular with the ladies.

For anglers in cold wet climates, Kokatat added features to their Supernova Angler dry suit. Kokatat took their mastery in the art of dry suit design to build an angler-specific suit with GorTex upper and Cordura lower half that resists hooks and fish spines. Soft, sealed wrists and neck enclosures keep water out without causing irritation.
