We’re halfway through February, which means spring is just a month away. If you’ve been procrastinating on winter kayak projects your window before getting back to the boat launch is drawing tight on time. Perhaps you have a shiny new kayak motor still in the packaging waiting to get rigged to your boat. Better yet, if it’s a Newport NK180 kayak motor we have just the motivation for you. This complete install video from Daren Wendell.
Mounting a kayak motor can seem a mountainous task, especially the first time. Running wires, the prospect of drilling holes in a perfectly good boat, and figuring out where to store a battery can sound like something we put off like a doctor’s visit.
Luckily in his video, Wendell shows us how he mounted the Newport NK180 from start to finish to put our worries at ease and provide a visual manual for when it’s time to head out to the garage and get to turning some wrenches.
