Last year, DHUKR introduced their flagship device to the worldโa fish hook removal tool designed to pull barbed hooks embedded in skin. The product was designed by Mike Pisano, a doctor with 25 years of emergency room experienceโnot to mention an angler. Now DHUKR is introducing two new dehooking tools
The first, is called The Yak, and it was designed with the kayak angler in mind. It has the exact same size extraction tool as the original, just with a smaller handle that is an open loop, which allows you to put your fingers inside of it to avoid dropping it. You can even clip it to a PFD.
The other version, called The Dink, is the smallest of the three. The Dink has a short, single-finger trigger and a downsized head to accommodate thin-wire hooks. Itโs a tool fly anglers especially will find useful.
You can learn more about these dehooking tools by visiting DHUKR.
