Packrafts are popular with anglers looking to reach distant fishing areas far from roads and trails. However, a light and super buoyant raft is difficult to paddle and susceptible to the slightest wind or current. Looking to solve these challenges, NRS Boundary 100 is a frame-raft that packs into a carry case and weighs around 45 pounds.
First Look: NRS Boundary 100
NRS shaved every ounce off the 10-foot raft with an open floor and a mesh platform behind the seat. The aluminum frame and oars increase the boat’s rigidity and provide more power for paddling and maneuvering. The frame also provides a base for mounting rod holders and adding tackle storage.
Compared to the limited range of a traditional packraft, the Boundary 100 allows me to row miles on open water with the confidence to get back to the launch when the wind kicks up.
