Meeting the needs of hard-core anglers looking for every advantage, Bonafide released the XTR130. They call the new kayak a “mini bass boat” with a swivel seat, wide-open cockpit and rigging for a bow mount trolling motor, stern-mount electric outboard, options to add multiple fish finder displays space for two full-size batteries.
First Look: Bonafide XTR130
The big boat is 12 feet, seven inches long, 40 inches wide, weighs 155 pounds with a 700-pound capacity. These dimensions add up to plenty of space and buoyancy to carry everything and the kitchen sink.
A massive 24-inch by 65-inch open deck provides space to stand and fish in the stern, midship and even perch on the bow with confidence. There is even enough space to rig the XTR130 with a second swivel seat to carry two anglers.
The huge bow hatch has a reinforced lid with traction pads to encourage anglers to stand forward for finesse fishing. Beneath the bow hatch is space for a full-size battery and mounting platform for black boxes to power a bow-mount trolling motor and electronics.
One of the highlights is a 360-degree swivel seat elevated off the deck with the comfortable and durable design that defines Bonafide’s kayak seats. Beneath the seat is Bonafide’s famous Junk Drawer sliding storage tray. In the stern, space for a full-size crate and another full-size battery provides storage for more gear and power to run an electric outboard.
The Bonafide XTR130 represents the next generation of fishing kayaks specifically designed for motors and full electronics to give anglers everything they expect in a full-size bass boat with a smaller, less expensive, easy-to-maintain package.
