What a year it was with all the EKFT Pompano Beach, Florida tournaments in 2016. The sailfish smackdown had the most sailfish caught & released since the event started and was the first time anglers caught and released 2 sails per person. The Summer Slam Series Part 1 had the most & biggest Black Fin Tuna caught since the series started, plus added a nice Cobia to the weigh in.
And to finish off the year of Florida events the tournament witnessed the biggest single fish ever caught in the tournaments history and biggest Wahoo caught in the series. Rob Rodriguez’s winning total weight was the most by an angler since the tournament began. It must be added that Kristen Elizabeth Hansen’s 33.5lb kingfish in Part 1, the biggest single fish weighed in that event.
Next up… Texas.
