This trolling motor is controlled with a simple, easy-to-use remote. What’s great about it is the lack of complicated dials and buttons. It focuses on simple features you use most often, like easy left and right control, and speed adjustments. We were warned not to take it above speed 10 until we’ve had more practice, so for our first test we kept it at a nice cruising pace on speed seven.
One of the coolest features is the instant reverse. Instead of having to spin the motor 180 degrees to change direction, you just hit the reverse button. You can see the color change on the LED screen, and the motor instantly goes into reverse. Hit the button again, and you’re back in forward motion at the same speed.
Like other Power-Pole trolling motors, this one offers anchor lock and heading settings, giving you the total boat control the brand is known for.
