Colors like this black and blue Hitman jig make Black Angel Lures a good choice for any bass angler.

A was never a fan of jigs, I just never threw any enough to understand why they were so effective. A few seasons ago I started throwing jigs with color schemes that I really dug and once I felt that giant thud of a jig strike, I was hooked. Color schemes like the ones from Black Angel Lures are what get me fired up about jig fishing. Their Hitman jigs, $3.99 each, are uniquely colored football jigs with names like Pimp Juice, PB&J and Lick Skillet Road. Who wouldn’t have confidence throwing a Lick Skillet Road?

The Black Angel Hitman jig, in green bean color scheme is perfect for fishing grass.

The jigs feature a custom bent Gamakatsu medium wire hook, which is designed to work better on longer casts, rather than having the short working range of other football jigs. The hand-tied lures are also designed to stand up better than most jigs, allowing an angler to add a trailer and give the perfect crawfish presentation, and also change the angle of the hook to allow for better pick up rates and better success at setting the hook.

Black Angel Lures spins all of their jig heads in-house and are both powder coated and clear coated to give the best durability and shine at the same time. The lures are designed by owner and FLW Rayovac Series – Texas Division angler Wade Hudgens and his wife/co-owner Jami.

The Black Angel Hitman Jig in PB&J is the perfect jig for fishing natural colors.
