Salt water kayak angler from Vancouver Island, Canada. The better half of KC Kayak Fishing, and proud mom of four. I started Kayak Fishing in 2020, and instantly fell in love with the adrenaline rush of chasing big fish on small boats! It's a more intimate feeling that can't be duplicated fishing from "real" boats.

I wanted to show off my kayak build, to show that you don't necessarily need thousands of dollars worth of electronics, motors, and gear to be able to enjoy the sport of Kayak Fishing. Yes there are a lot of accessories on my kayak, but everything serves a purpose, I like to keep my kayak as minimally rigged as possible, which gives me more room for those big fish!

Favorite Technique: My favorite technique has to be vertical jigging big swimbaits for big lingcod.

Body of Water: I feel the most comfortable battling the wind and swells on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

41-year-old saltwater kayak angler out of Sonoma County, Northern California. Production Manager by day, Fish_Forage_Off-Roader on the weekend. Saltwater kayak fishing for 14 years. Ocean saltwater tournaments the last four years, with one second place finish. Father to two boys, husband of 15 years to my amazing wife Lisa. When I'm not out kayak fishing, I'm exploring the beautiful Northern California backroads with the family in our Off-Road Toyota Tacoma.

Using no motor, I can paddle my kayak a little over 4 miles per hour and maintain 3 miles an hour for some distance!
