Recent advances in LED lighting have made it easier than ever to rig up your kayak for fishing in low-light conditions. One such product is showcased by tournament angler Mark Cisneros in his SuperNova Fishing Lights video. No question, the LED strips look pretty cool—especially when they’re shedding light on his latest big catch.
Night-time Fishing With SuperNova Lights
“We were in Austin, Texas at Lady Bird Lake,” Cisneros explains. “Temperatures were in the low 50s. Most fish were caught on crank baits.”
“I currently fish the Kayak Angler Tournament Series (KATS) sponsored by Austin Canoe & Kayak (ACK). ACK sells these SuperNova Fishing Lights and I got a hold of owner Des Davis and wanted to showcase them.”
“As you can see in the video, they actually work. After that night, I had them installed on my kayak. As for night-time techniques, the anglers were targeting drop of ledges and bridges/columns.”
Check out the SuperNova Fishing Lights website for more information on their illuminating product. Be sure to also check out Mariner Sails for your Texas paddlesports needs.
I’m not trying to nitpick, but you might want to update your article because Austin Canoe & Kayak has been out of business for a few months.
