Jeff Little shows the benefits of and how to assemble this Boonedox contraption

The unfortunate truth is the short cold days of winter have us fishing less. However, this means plenty of time perusing the web in search of the next toy for the kayaks. It also means more time in the garage building out boats and making repairs. We thought we had a system figured out. Then we came across a kayak fishing accessory we didn’t know we needed until now, from this video of Jeff Little assembling a Boonedox Adjustable Rigging Stand.

As little notes, he’s been in the kayak fishing game since 1998 and has spent plenty of time rigging up fishing kayaks and getting them in and out of storage and truck beds. That is what makes this cart and stand from Boonedox fascinatingly exciting.

With the amount of rigging increasing on kayaks, having a stable platform to lift a boat off the ground and work on it is essential. You’ll notice on the assembled stand can be even be narrowed or widened. This is key to accommodating various hull shapes. It also means you can stagger the stand away from the scupper, which is good for accessing the bottom of the boat.

The other big pro to the wheeled rigging stand is the working height. Great not just for rigging but also transport. If you have the tailgate down on a pickup, it especially nice to roll a rigging stand like this up to the back, and effortlessly slide your kayak in the bed, versus pulling the boat up from a lower cart.
