Wilderness Systems Radar 135

Wilderness Systems announced on Dec. 7, 2016 the arrival of the exceedingly versatile, tri-powered Radar 135 kayak at specialty retail stores—with the smaller Radar 115 arriving later this month.

“The Radar is the culmination of anything and everything a kayak angler would want or need in a fishing kayak,” said Evan Lyendecker, marketing director for Wilderness Systems. “Its versatile design is paramount as you can choose your mode of travel and leverage fish finders simultaneously. There is nothing like it on the market today.”

The Radar is a tri-powered kayak that can be paddled, powered by the Helix MD™ Motor Drive ($1,999 USD) or pedaled with the groundbreaking, patent-pending new Helix PD™ Pedal Drive ($1,100 USD) launching Spring 2017. Its S.M.A.R.T. Hull Technology combines stability, maneuverability, acceleration, responsiveness and tracking for optimal performance in multiple water environments and configurations. The Radar’s comprehensive design includes an upswept bow for a dry ride, a defined keel line for excellent tracking, a rockered chine for responsive steering, and supreme stand-up stability in any water environment.

Wilderness Systems’ renowned ultra-comfortable seating is continued with the award- winning, patented AirPro MAX high-low seat. It can be ergonomically trimmed for paddling or pedaling positions, and can also be stowed in a vertical position to increase standing area. With its new quick adjust levers, users can slide the seat fore and aft to set leg length, essential with use of the Helix PD Pedal Drive or adjusting the trim of a fully loaded boat.

Both models feature state-of-the-art outfitting including expansive SlideTrax™ rails and a multitude of storage opportunities. Wilderness Systems’ exclusive Flex Pod system provides the versatility to deploy side-scanning or down-imaging electronics while using either of the Helix Propulsion Technologies.

The Radar features a premium, matte glass bead finish on the deck to reduce glare and is available in six colors: Desert Camo, Dusk, Mango, Midnight, Sonar, and Solar. The Radar 115 is priced at $1,349 USD, and the Radar 135 at $1,499 USD.

A.T.A.K. 120

Wilderness Systems also announced the highly anticipated release of its new compact, 12-foot A.T.A.K. 120 kayak to specialty retailers nationwide.

“The A.T.A.K. 120’s new abbreviated length and increased rocker makes it the ideal compact kayak for any angler,” said Evan Lyendecker, marketing director for Wilderness Systems. “It follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the award-winning A.T.A.K. 140, with a stable, highly walkable surface and wind-shedding hull.”

The A.T.A.K. 120 features Wilderness Systems’ proprietary S.M.A.R.T. Hull Technology throughout the design that combines stability, maneuverability, acceleration, responsiveness and tracking for optimal performance in a range of environments.

The acclaimed, patented AirPro MAX seat returns with improved adjustability and the addition of quick-adjust cam levers, for maximum comfort and performance. The A.T.A.K. 120 is equipped with the exclusive Flex Pod OS system, combined with two additional hatches, for ample storage space as well as the option for electronics or Helix MD™ Motor Drive integration.

The A.T.A.K. 120 costs $1,649 USD and will be available in six colors: Desert Camo, Dusk, Mango, Midnight, Solar, and Sonar.
