Kayak Anglers are always looking for a way to kill two birds with one stone. How about fish three ways with one lure?
The new SubSurface Pro from Williamson brings three tactics to saltwater anglers
First, the lure is balanced and weighted to sink horizontally. One deadly technique is to cast the lure and let it sink.
Count down until the lure hits the bottom then rip it back by jerking the rod tip and cranking the reel to bring in slack. Then let it sink again.
Another option is to work the lure back quickly by alternating a jerk of the rod tip with a quick turn of the reel handle.
This works great with agressive species like mackerel and tuna that are suckers for a fleeing baitfish and aren’t afraid of a race.
Or, retrieve the lure with a slow walk-the-dog rhythm by steadily reeling and moving the rod tip back and forth to make the lure zig-zag through the water.
The SubSurface Pro comes with kayaker friendly single hooks that don’t snag or stick like trebles. And the new colors will have anglers and fish slobbering.
