Just because it’s getting colder doesn’t mean you should stop fishing. In fact, fall fishing is the best of the year, but you can’t wear your performance sun shirt, or you’ll freeze, even if you’re down south. I’m a big fan of Marsh Wear Clothing because not only are their clothes made in the USA, but they let me show off my flats and marsh pride all season long, and with their new East Coast long sleeves, $34.95, even all winter.
Perfect for both wearing as a layer on the colder days or by itself on the days that Fall doesn’t feel like Winter, this is one of the most comfortable long sleeve shirts you’ll find. The 100% Pima cotton blend feels soft and supple and comes pre-shrunk, though the sleeves did feel a little shorter after I washed the shirt a few times.
Whether you’re stalking the flats before Winter really hits or kicking back with a cold one talking about the summer season, these shirts are perfect for this time of year. Even though the price tag is low, these shirts feel sturdy and durable, even when putting up with the abuse of traveling and living in my truck. The only thing missing is a kayak fishing graphic, but I’ll settle for a flats skiff stuck on the marsh mud, because I know a kayak wouldn’t get stuck.
Available in four different styles, Low Tide Indian Summer (pictured), Low Tide Teal, Creek Ambush Coastal Blue, and Creek Ambush Teal.
