Introducing the Catch PWR 100

Marty Zoffinger of Pelican International introduced the Catch PWR prototype to us as a paddleboat with a secret identity. A capable craft when propelled by hand, the Catch PWR 100 really shines when you cue the motor.

Using a first-generation Hobie MirageDrive design, Pelican improved on the components and construction for the Catch PWR 100, resulting in a drive that is lighter and faster. According to Zoffinger, adding a motor “opens up a whole new world to a lot of people who don’t just want to paddle all the time.”

Sit or Stand in Comfort

The small boat is 38 inches wide for solid stability. “This boat’s going to accommodate bigger guys despite the fact that it’s under 10 feet long,” Zoffinger affirms. Due to its short length the Catch PWR is easy to turn, making it a capable paddle kayak for any angler.

Pelican’s new Ergo360 seat has an adjustable backrest that supports up to 300 pounds. The high-level, swivel seat lets you to position yourself comfortably in any direction. Mounted on rails, the seating system can also be moved fore and aft to improve ballast.

Power Up With the PWR 100

The PWR stands for power. The Catch PWR can accommodate a trolling motor with 55 foot-pounds of thrust. The motor fits on a bracket in the transom powered by a 12-volt marine battery in the bow. The motor and battery are connected with cables that run under the deck.
