H aving quickly gained fans with their value-priced standup kayak, 3 Waters now adds a pedal drive to the family. The Big Fish 108 shares the stable cathedral hull for unshakable stability with the other 3 Waters boats, perfect if you’re just dipping your toes into the waters of kayak fishing.
Highlights of the Big Fish 108
A large covered compartment in the bow has a retractable transducer mount that lifts the sonar puck out of the water when the boat is beached. The boat has flush-mount rod holders and vertical holders with rod tip protectors. The mesh, frame seat has a high and low position.
But the star of the show is the new Pro Fish pedal drive. The drive is sealed so there is no maintenance. The pedals use a chain to drive the propeller for increased torque and a more solid transfer of power from the paddler to the water. The beavertail rudder is generously sized to turn the big boat efficiently under pedal power.
