Kaku Kayak has just released information about their new fishing kayak, the Wahoo 12 foot pro angler. “They should be ready by the end of April, I’m hoping,” said Kevin Hawkins, of Kaku Kayak.  They are 11.9 length, 31” wide, have 2 flush mounted rod holders standard and optional rudder we will be offering them at an amazing $899 standard and $999 with rudder. “We have had so many request for a 12 foot model,” said Hawkins, “so here it is.”

“The first models we came out with were really entry level yaks,” said Hawkins. “I didn’t create the company to go after the fishing community, but to go after the everyday water lover. Kayaks that would be ready for whatever they throw at it and offering a lot of features while having the best prices in the industry. Now after being in business for a year and managing to recruit a pro fishing team many dealers and many professional guides using Kaku Kayak, we are introducing our first models that have been designed from direct input from our pro staffers and professional guides.

The Wahoo comes with adjustable foot pegs to fit a variety of angler’s heights. The bow hatch features a hard cover and there is a modular bait and tackle center in the center of the boat. The large, open cargo tankwell at the stearn is roomy enough to fit all of your gear easily without cramming it in. Anglers who like to customize their boat with a Power Pole Micro stakeout will also like the new Wahoo. “We moved the drain plug to the bow,” said Hawkins. “We’re testing the boat with Power-Pole’s Micro stakout pole and the drain plug was getting in the way.”
